Heavy 3/4?

My buddy has a dodge 2500 short bed that when he bought it they sold it to him as a Heavy 3/4. It has all one ton parts except it has 2500 badges and a short bed.

anyone know what this is?

Mike

unless it is a 2500 with the towing package they have the heavy overload springs on the back.

Only difference between late model 2500 and 3500 SRW 3rd gens is the springs.

Actually, the clearance lamps became an option on the all SRW models. So only the 3500 duallies it's standard.

The ujoints and all are the same on both. The only difference is the rear overload springs and standard clearance lights. The 3500 has the same front springs at the 2500 with the plow package. Short bed makes no difference. The dually's are a little different, but not the 3500's. So, if it has overloads, you need to see if they look factory of aftermarket. The VIN should tell you also, right?

Keep in mind you can't just slap 3500 springs onto a 2500 and have them work. There are frame modifications required.
