H2O draining

I leave my truck running when I fill up. While the tank is filling I open my hood, flip the yellow tab till I see fuel, and then flip back. Takes 30 seconds. I don't know why not to do it. Yes it gets fuel on the diff, wash it off. Yes it gets fuel on the the concrete (it is already covered from oil and antifreeze).

Thanks Forcefed, good idea keeping the vehicle running. I did not know if it was good or not for the fuel system to purge it like this but, evidently it works ok because of the constant pressure. I was trying not to add to the ground water runoff situation though.

I agree with you on the run off situation. Leaving the truck running is fine. I have done it about 25 times now. I haven't ever noticed water, but there may be some.
