Just stepped in from looking at the grid heater. I can deffinetly see how a hallow piece would help w/ air flow especially with a aftermarket air horn, manifold and some other mods.

I don't want to vere off topic here to much but would one of you happen to have the link for painting a valve cover? My paint is falking off bad and it looks like crap. Im thinking a nice glossy black would look decent.

Upon further review......This morning in SoCal we had nice cool temps. My solenoid was clicking and the volt meter was moving, so i jumped up there with my meter and checked it out. I knew I was getting voltage to it, but never noticed earlier in the year that the heaters were working. Today I even felt them getting warm. Must have been because of getting the heater lose when I drilled the elbow. Clearcoat paint may have not allowed the ground, but it works now.

No link, but I painted mine. I actually sanded off everything but the "C" with a flapper wheel. Scuffed the rest of the VC with some 180 grit, shot some high build DP primer over it, shot black, then clear. It has been like that for a year + now, and has held up great. It gets dusty and I just take a damp cloth and wipe it down. Looks great. You need a real sprayer this way cuz obvioulsy I used "real" paint (DP)
Sorry for no linky
