Grey/Black smoke hard acceleration Stock motor

Hi there, besides an AFE air intake AND NO SILENCER RING,, my truck is stock(I think!) when I get on the throttle hard, it blows dark grey/black smoke, and then clears as I let off the throttle. Does this mean I'm having injector issues? The "search this forum" feature, keeps kicking me to the forum menu.
The truck runs fine, not too bad on fuel and doesn't seem to be making any weird noises. Is it possible it was programmed at one time before I got it? Seems to pull very good.It has about 110,000 mile on it.Not worried about smoke, but if there's a problem, I should get it fixed.
Thanks,
Mark

Doesn't sound like you have any issues at all, sounds like you drive a diesel.

It's not rolling coal like a train is it, just a little puff/haze? That's normal, expected by most people.

LOL!, It's a fairly decent size cloud, but not dark black like the guys with modded trucks. My 2003 didn't smoke at all, that's why I was wondering. But all is good!

I use an AFE oiled stock dropin and neglected to clean it for 18,000 miles. I was getting a pretty good cloud. Cleaned and reoiled and it's gone. 10,000 mile cleanings from now on.

My truck does the same when I get on it. Its just cleaning/blowing out all the soot from the pipes and kitty.

my buddys 05 is bone stock and when you mash the skinny pedal it will make a cloud of smoke. it smokes A LOT for some reason. I do not think it is normal.
the truck is not fast, O and it also makes a constant haze out the exhaust. my truck with smarty, and pressure box does not smoke at all once to speed.

I only put on a couple of thousand miles a year, and it did it with both stock and AFE filters....Maybe have 5000 miles on new filter, non-dusty climate(rain forrest!)

normal for 05? my 03 makes no haze, and when the smarty is not loaded it will not smoke then.

who knows, but it does run good, has plenty of power, my 99 wont smoke at all. 05's do have different injectors and 3rd event. might have something to do with it. might be the cat. as far as i know, in the 100 or so posts ive read, i just accept the fact that its normal.
