Glacier 2 micron fuel filter and pacbrake

Will the Pacbrake air compressor still fit under the hood if the Glacier 2 micron fuel filter and water seperator is installed. Both locate in relatively the same place. Looking at installing the Pacbrake, but can't if they won't fit together. Thanks

You bet! I have both! The Compressor sits on TOP near the valve cover, the 2 Micron filter goes UNDER the intake horn. Plenty of room. I would take a picture but I am at work right now.

I have the plastic thingy...(apps sensor?) in the way, so I couldn't mount my 2 micron filter under the hood. So now it's mounted down on the frame (remote style) with fuel hose run back up to the cp3. After I did it,I like it that way! Why put something else under the hood to be in the way?

I dont have air or pacbrake yet....but I am planning it for the future. I want to mount a larger air tank down on the frame under the truck bed and mount the compressor down on the frame as well. Is there some advantage im not aware of for mounting everything under the hood? Just seems like more stuff in the way in the engine bay.

Im sorry I don't have any good pics of my kit. I guess I need to take some.

Here is the best I can do for the moment.....

Look under my driver side door and you can see my CAT 2 micron filter mounted to the frame. The filter head is obviously mounted above that and the fuel hose is simply ziptied back up to the engine bay and run on to the cp3. I have a T in the hose with another line going to my fuel pressure gauge. Hope that helps.

Thanks! So far I really like the tires. I have several thousand miles on them now and I like them better in every way over the 35'' BFG KM2s they replaced except for looks. Smoother, easier on the steering, mileage is up 1.5-2 mpg or so. I think this size and this tire tread is a good all around compromise between looks and performance.

It's ODRA....Outlaw Diesel Racing Association! I try to go to most of their events and participate when I can. They usually have several Dyno Days, Drag Races and Sled pulls every year. Im just a little dog and in a big dog pound though... Perhaps someday i'll ge some more mods when the money tree in my back yard starts bearing fruit.

Thanks Trik! Yours is very nice too. I have checked out your pics several times.....and I love your homemade nerfs. I remember when you were making them.

I almost bought the Nitto Duras too. Very sweet tire. But I chickened out at the last minute because I do need to go off-road sometime....Camping/ATVing, towing the Toyhauler. I felt I could settle with the Terras for the AT traction....coming down from MTs. You are going to like the 285/75 size. I got my tires from Discount tire so I usually go get them rotated (free) after I change the oil....every 5K miles. Hopefully I can get 50K out of them...we'll see. Best of luck with the Duras!

Might add, I had to take the Pac Brake off my truck. It was causing my turbos to fail. I lost 3 turbos. Pac Brake tested the Pac and said it was fine. Dealer said that there could be a timing program issue between the 2007 models and the Use of the Pac brake. Pac Brake did admit that they had some customers with exact same problems as me and they all drove dodge 2007 5.9's. I now use the compressor just for air.
