I have finally gotten the ok from the wife to get a new truck. I need a Mega Cab so my kids don't get crushed behind me (I'm 6'10"). I am looking for a 3500 SRW or DRW, I can't decide. My question is if there are any major changes between the '06 and early '07 model trucks. I mean like u-joints, ball joints or anything like that which would warrant getting one over the other. Thanks.

 

07 has the new motor. I'd do some research, including the new EPA regulations and see what you think...

 

I was actually talking about the early '07s that still have the 5.9

 

I would get an 06 IF you find one you like on the lot still. 2006's are probably going for very good deals right now, but the 07's are not going to have the deals.
They are pretty much the same truck except for a couple minor body changes.

I absolutely LOVE my 3500 Mega Dually. Go for it!

 

Unless somebody knows some information I don't.........The early 07's are the same as the 06 trucks except for different taillights and different badging on the front doors.

The 07.5 trucks will be getting the new motor/transmission combos.

 

Get the 06

 

'06 and early '07 are virtually identical. Get the one you can get cheapest.
