I don't follow the G56's much since I have a 5600, but I haven't heard of very many failures so far

Because BigD6.6 has broke 2 of them in the last month sledpulling.
He knows how to run with the best of them....so its not his driving causing the issue. Its basically a weak tranny.

I have over 30 hooks on my nv5600....if it went tomorrow its served its purpose. I know trucks that have over 100 hooks on their NV's and the only thing that breaks is usually a main shaft (from running the high side) that can be replaced and its ready to rock again.

Bring back the NV

So you think the intergity of the tranny is tested by loading up the engine with mods and turning all that power lose on a stock tranny??? I guess before we get off topic lets compare apples with apples not apples with hotdogs....anyone else know of stock trucks with G56 failures???

Failures of weak parts that happen in sledpulling are very good indicators of what will fail once that part gets worked over a period of miles or time.

Dont take it personally. Its Chryslers fault, not ours. Cheap parts bite

im very happy with mine. i would not call how i drive normal. i have about 27,000 hard miles on it. bigd6.6 is the only person i have seen hurt one of these and he is hooking to a sled with a tranny with an aluminum case not smart in my book. but for everyday use and some racing mixed in, it has held up great.
