hey guys a couple of question on the newer g56 6spd tranmission. 1st it seems allfull moddy in the morning and and doesnt seem to want to be smooth also I have a severe vibration in the trans in 5th gear only you can watch the gear shifter actually shake its so bad and goes away in any other gears my 02 with a nv5600 is a totally differant animal compared to this one. any ideas ?? Yeah, sometimes tricky getting into 1st - you really need to be dead stopped or match the engine RPM to the shift point. My OD is smooth and no stick vibration - loaded or unloaded, so you might want to take that up under warranty.

 

yeah first gear on mine you have to be at a dead stop to use, but then again i dont use first all that often. doesent bother me too much. other than crusing RPM im very happy with the G56.

 

1st gear is ok its that first 2nd to 3rd thats moody also my vibration seems to be getting worse going to have to take it in. and get it looked at, jr

 

It might not hurt to change the tranny fluid. Sometimes it is easiert to fix things yourself over taking it to the dealer. I know that the NV5600 is a little notchy also on the factory lube. My 95 had a vibration in 5th gear that went away after a fluid change and a few miles to work the fresh lube up into the gears.

 

i just turned 3k and have to do a lof any way mine as well throw some amsoil in here while she in the air. the biggest thing for me in documenation from the deler so if ihave trouble do the road it doesnt hurt to have, jr
