Fuel water separater

Anyone come up with an easy & clean way to run off & catch your fuel into a container so you can see if you have water in the fuel, without laying on your back or dumping it all over a gas station parking lot?

I think someone extended the hose so it is more accesable. It is a bit diffucult getting a bottle up between the axle and steering linkage the way it came from the factory. I use a poland spring water bottle. 16oz I think.

Extend the hose to make it more accessable or use a drain pan with a 2 ft funnel.

Extend hose down along frame behind front bumper, hangs down about 2" below bumper.

If you don't need for the extension to be permanent you can use a section
of old water hose ( 5/8" I.D. works), 20-22" long should do it.

When done, thow the hose in the toolbox.

I went to Petco, they have clear tube that is exactly the same as whats on our trucks. I extended mine down far enough to put a glass under it and drain it into it to get a fuel sample.

I just slip a clear soda bottle down, slip the drain tube into it and it rests against rear of front diff. Did not add any length to tubing, maybe mine came longer.

Another option is the wifey can lay under the truck to catch the stuff, but have not tried this one yet.
