Fuel rail pressure problem
Fuel rail pressure problem
I have a problem with Dodge Ram 2500 Cummings diesel 2003.
Sometime I have to start very long time and then it runs great.
But now I cant get engine running and rail pressure is very low about 1000 psi. The rail pressure should be around 5500-6000 psi.
Do any one have problem like that.
Regards Jon

I would look a little further upstream at the lift pump. It supplies the high pressure pump. If it isn't getting fuel from the lift pump then there is no way the pressure pump can make enough rail pressure to run the engine. Since the lift pumps on these are notrious piles I would look there first. JMO.
