Fuel rail pressure

First off let me state, I don’t know squat about a diesel.

I have a 2006 2500 Cummins with Fuel rail pressure issues. At start up the truck sounds a little rough until it warms up. This morning the truck was idling at 4-5kpsi and driving would struggle to get up to 5-6kpsi. I drive 1 hour to work it took me about 45 mins of driving for the rail pressure to get up to 15-18kpsi which is where it usually stays.

I strongly believe that the problem is at the back of the truck. I can hear the FASS Pump “gurgling” I’m almost to a point where I’m going to drop the tank and give it a good cleaning.

I also want want to check the bulk head for the FASS fuel, does anyone know if there is a screen in there?

I’m hoping to discredit the FASS fuel System before I go troubleshooting the FCA, Relief valve, CP3 and injectors.

Thanks for any imput you guys have, let me know if there’s any more info I can provide.
