so im looking into what kind of modifications i will need to make to my fuel system when i get my smarty. doing alittle planning ahead. i daily drive the truck, wont run the **** out of it with the smarty but would like to be on the safe side and upgrade the lift pump/fuel system. i currently run the xzt and i dont monitor my fuel pressure or anything but when you really get into it sounds like the **** thing runs out of fuel. i know its only a 65 hp chip but the timing rattle/injector rattle is insane when cruising and you get on it.

suggestions please...

 

I have researched until I am blue in the face. I am ordering a GDP system from Lary here on DTR - Click SHOP DTR near the top of the page or the link in my sig. I looked at the Eliminator, Fass, Airdog, Holley Blue, you name it. For the price and performance , you can't find anything better in my opinion. Besides that , the customer service is second to none. lary at the DTR store gave me Richard's number at GDP. We talked for what seemed to be an hour! He told me good and bad about his competitor's products and was VERY knowledgable about most products on the market. he didn't bad mouth any of them, just told me in his opinion what could fail and why it would fail. I think if you do a search on here for GPD or Walbro 392 you won't find ANY unhappy customers. Some have used the Walbro to make their own system, and I considered that as well, but when you price it all out..........you don't have any tech support or customer service! The savings were nominal, and weren't worth the effort to me! Just my opinion. Good luck!
