fuel pressure check
fuel pressure check
I keep reading that it is recommended to check the lift pump fuel pressure at each oil change.
- Where are the port(s) for checking the pressure...on the lift pump, or on the injection pump?
- Where is the lift pump...attached to the fuel filter housing?
- What type of connection is there to tap into for fuel pressure readings?
- Where are gauges available from? Looking for temporary hookup gauges, not permanant dash install.
- Do you need more than one gauge?
- What are considered normal or acceptable operating pressure readings?
- What are considered low or unacceptable operating pressures?
Sorry for all the questions, just kinda building my base of knowledge to keep up with my own maintence. Any other important info going along this topic would be greatly appreciated.
thanks
Todd
