Once in a blue moon my '03 will rub something in the right circumstance and that's WAY stock with LAME Michelin 265s.

Ain't no big thang.

Also, our Predators have a tad more backspacing than the factory alloys - give up 10% of full-lock steering for zero fender rub.

What is funny about the mileage is that i never gave one rats behind about mileage when i had gassers; with the 2 diesels i am obsessed with it. Never thought twice about getting 14mpg's in my little 4x4 nissan or f-150. My wife tells me I am going to get tennis elbow as often as I check the OHC! Even my kids joke about it.
You guys make me feel good. I can pull 16.5 out of mine. I still think its crap, but I've only got 17K on it and hope it will get better with time. My average is closer to 15.5.

I just installed a 6'' superlift on my 03 2500. I'm running 37'' toyos on 17'' wheels with 4.5'' of backspacing. I had to trim some plastic from the air dam on the front bumper, because it rubbed slightly. I wouldn't try running 37'' tires with a smaller lift unless you stay with the stock rim, or a rim that has factory backspacing specs.

The 6'' lift and 37'' tires make a good match. I'll try and post a few pics later.

Here are a few pics.

I haven't calculated the mileage yet.

06Cummins... how is the tread wear on those 35" Grapplers? I heard they were only good for about 15k to 20k miles if they saw alot of highway... Are you seeing that?

That was one of the big reasons I went with the TOYO's... Everywhere I read the MT's people getting 35k or better... so I figured better bang for the buck, but I liked both tires...

Guy had some 325/??? - 18 OC A/T on a Furd. I asked about 'em. He said guy he got the truck from mentioned getting 35K from a set.

If 35 or 40 is all I can get from OC I reckon replacement Michelins are the best tire I can get for wear. They may not be the best rain/snow/mud tire but 90+ % of my driving is on hardtop in decent weather anyhow.

my mileage has varied more with the speed and wind than the change from 35s to 37s.
The faster I drive the lower the mileage.

Chances seem pretty fair now that some sort of Toyo will in fact end up on my truck. OC 285/75 doesn't look good.

Stock size HT or AT looks likely and of the two likely HT.

Gotta do some more searching...

Dangerous Dave, I track mpg from every tank. This spring I switched from the stock Michelins (265s) to Toyo OC A/T 285/75s. My mileage did not change and I love the extra inch under the diffs. The big question for me is how long they will last. Looking good at 10k but I doubt they will get the excellent 45k I got on the Michelins.
