I get my filters from a local place called cummins northwest. Fuel filters were less than $10.00 and the oil filters are $6 and some change. I was pretty happy when they told me the price after reading what some people on here have payed.

Well, I changed mine out with 5400 miles. Was not dirty, even saw the white on the filter. Reason I messed with it was just for practice and know how. Is it necessary to empty the bowl? I did, but man, I need to catch it better the next time. I did find filters for 9.44 a piece @ a place called Direct Injection: http://www.directinjection.net Anyway, got it done, no biggy.

The fuel filter is easy to change!! I am not a mechanic by any stretch and had no problems.
The steps are pretty close but once the filter is installed, turn the key to the on position but do not start it. Wait 60 seconds and turn off again. Repeat this once more. Then start the engine like normal. This procedure primes the system and is outlined in the owner's manual.
The filters are cheaper if they are fleetguard but seem ok so far.
Good luck
