I know on the older Dodge Ram gassers they could be touchy with a weak/bad battery. It may have enough poop to turn over but the computer and systems didnt like it and it would create lots of funky problems.

On the diesel weak batteries wont spin the motor over fast enough to get the cylinders to fire. You need the pistons to create compression fast and get that bit of heat made from compression to start. Shot of ether just ignites easier then diesel.Maybe thats your problem.

Weak batteries make these trucks do weird things. When you get it checked be certain to include a load test. It might read ok just sitting there, but when you try to crank it might be so weak it'll need replacing. Something else to consider, change both at the same time.

I'd be REAL CAREFUL spraying ether in the intake. These motors use a grid heater similar to a toaster element. Glowing red coils plus ether equals BOOM!!

Well I went to Orielleys and had my batteries tested and it show that one was weak so I replace them both with 900 CCA , cleaned and protected the terminals . Now I will wait until tomorrow morning to see if it is fixed. Yep I strongly agree with the ether comments going BOOM is not a good option.

Update : I started the truck this morning without plugging it in and it gets pretty cold where I live and it started great. I will see how it starts in the morning here at work and if it starts OK . I will call it fixed. Thanks to all again for your help.
