Front End Noise

I started hearing a noise coming from the right front, it is a Kluncking sound. I can only hear it when the truck is slowing down and just taking off. Now a week later it is starting to sound pretty bad. My wife says she can feel it on the passenger side floor board. I lifted the front end and checked the front drive line, doesn't seem to be coming from there. Any ideas, maybe a U-Joint or bearing.

Thanks

I would check your front wheel u joint. Try and wiggle it. If there is play it is going bad.

Front end noises on these trucks are real fun to chase. Could be axle u joint, but you would likely feel that when you were turning. Ball joints, the lowers are usually the most suspect i think, could also do it. Do you have any excess play in the steering/ tracking issues? I finally replaced my track bar and that solved my front end noise, the bushing was shot. Had a friend with a drivers side clunk and we found that the shock mount bolts on the bottom were loose.

process of elimination. you need to check the whole front end! axle-u joints-, tie rods, trac bar , steering box, ball joints, etc

Have someone you trust crank the wheels lock-lock while you inspect all the moving parts under the front end for undesirable movement.

Real easy to see if your trackbar bushings are shot that way.
