Front drive shaft??

Is the front drive shaft suppose to turn? My buddy asked me so I got under the truck and made a mark and then started it up and moved about 1 foot. Sure enough the front shaft had moved. is this normal? 03 6spd, floor 4x4. Thanks

Normal, it is my undertanding that the front hubs are always locked so your front shaft will turn with the tires

Yep no CAD on the 3rd gens, they stay locked and ready to go. A little less MPG w/o the CAD, but they are stronger.
