Question Fron Engine Cover Gasket

I had some burnt oil smell in the cab over the passed few week, but I just thought it was me spilling some oil during oil change. Well the other day I was greasing my tie rod ends and noticed that the from engine cover is soaked with oil. Good thing its covered by warranty less $100. Has any one else had this issue before?

I have seen it before. You should have at least tried cleaning it with brake cleaner and tightening the screws first (for $100 anyway).

Were you losing/using a lot of oil (to try and gauge how bad the leak was)?

I am not losing enough between oil changes to make it a real concern, but I tried tightening the screws (the ones that I could get to). They were all tight. I know its a $100, but I think the labour is somewhat extensive so I made an appointment with my dealership for tommorow.

Yes, replacing the gasket is extensive and worth the $100 if you have already tried tightening the screws.
