Question Found serplus of CI-4 cheveron dello to use or not

I was finishing up some painting at the station and I came across 4 cases of 6 gallon's each of cheveron dello 400 15W40 CI-4 oil. We used to do the oil changes on the Fire Engines our self but the government decided it was best to out source maintence. So I know we have all this talk about CI-4 vs CJ-4 oils and how the CJ does not have the extra ash and hasl ess propertys that our 5.9's like even thow CJ meets the API certs our trucks require.

I have never run this oil in any of my trucks and wanted to know if its any good. Im used to running Mobil Delovac 1300 15W40 and recently switched to valvoline 5W40 synthetic. Would it b worth it to run this oil in my truck due to the CI rating also its 5 year old oil well its been sitting in the room that long

well any feedback would be great.

Chevron Delo 400 CI4 is an excellent oil. I would run what you found in my truck no questions asked.

Indeed ! Delo 400 CI 4 is a very robust oil. Use it with confidence. Be sure to shake the bottle prior to use. This will stir up any additives that may have settled to the bottom.
