Well hopefully they will jack up the price to $5.00 a gallon. Maybe they can break that record too!

And how about the news that our law makers are reconsidering the "tax incentives" they gave to the oil companies as resent as eight months ago. Yup, give the biggest most profitable companies a little help so they can make the rich richer. Who says we don't have the best government money can buy.

Well Bush did stop those tax cuts that were 8 BILLION! Lets get this right.....Gas prices are at a record high.....Oil Companies are making record profits......CEO are telling government that they are not price gouging.......HMMMM it all adding up and our government is getting paid off to stay out of the way. My theory is, Oil companies lower gas prices and the economy will go up. I hear it every summer woring at the amusment park. People dont want to go on trips and spend money because gas is so high. Prices go down people will spend more money on themselfs and the economy will skyrocket....Mark my word!

Yeah, Congress really wants to do something. Read in the paper yesterday that several leading Democrats held a photo op at a gas station to make their statements and when it was over Barbara Boxer got into her Chrysler LHS and drove the ONE block back to the Capital Building, Charles Schumer got into his car and drove back also.

Got to admire our elected officials, they preach, share and conserve and then won't walk or carpool a whole complete block. Kind of makes it hard to take them seriously.

Giving the oil co. a tax break is like giving Donald Trump food stamps.....yet that is exactly what ol'W did there back in Nov. That went along with the energy bill. 6 billion worth of food stamps. Whadaya think??

if you start penalizing oil and gas companies for profits, you will see energy prices go through the roof! I promise you guys wouldn't be if you had enough intelligence to buy energy stocks a year or two ago! these profits allow them to further develop and exploit oil and gas fields!

What makes you as an American entitle to cheap energy?

That is what I am talking about!!!!
Hahahaha

Buy stock in big oil! You are going to pay what ever the price is at the pump but if your stock is going up along side of it you will get it all back in the end... or atleast enough to off set the differences that you are bitchin about.

Ooorr we can just tax the hell out of anyone that achieves any type of success and spread misery around equally. Punish success is a great plan!! Lets teach that in government school...

Okay Jim Kramer, only problem is, the average American middle class family doesn't have 10K to invest in Exxon just so they can "offset" the spanking they are taking at the pump. Typical Republican response to the regular consumer getting taken advantage of.

How much were gas Prices in 1998? Will we see them fall in late 2008?
