well heres a 2004 2500 running SVO (veg. oil) - found it on Deisel Turbo Register website! only been running for 4000 miles though.. has detailed photo page... check out the over diesels he has converted..

Sounds like a decent idea. It was interesting enough that I actually cruised around the net reading about it for a little while. The only problem I see is that then we'd need to change the name of this site to veggieoil truckresource. com. It just doesn't have the same ring to it.

 

The big question here is.
How much does Stright Veggy Oil cost per gallon?

Now if we're talking about USED VEGGY OIL, and you know someone that owns a fast food place, thats another story.

SVO (straight veg. oil) is waste oil not converted/processed into biodiesel - just CLEANUP UP via filters... I know most on this forum will not touch SVO in 3rd gen. CTD's.. I have now know of (thats the magic word - know of ), someone with over a 100,000 miles on SVO in a 3rd gen. BUT he huals a airstream trialer across country and uses the truck like it should be used... city driving may be another issue..
