I have a Suncoast Laminated in mine. Held up fine so far, on the high side around $450.

I know a performance shop that is trying out the new PRW flexplates, one in their pro street truck. So far it has held up. A much less expensive option.

I have a Hailsey one in mine that Dave at Goerend sells. Half the price of the Suncoast one and is holding up fine.

So what are the opinions on billet vs laminated?

I've heard some saying the laminated is more flexible and less prone to cause problems since the billet does not flex as well? Any truth to this?

Go with the PRW one for $140. Much stouter than stock and not as overpriced as the others.
