Finally fixed my voltage spike and charging issue
In my case there was never a voltage difference between the batteries, and the resistance all around was within spec too. It was all monitored with a Fluke 3000 wireless multimeter (amazing product BTW). One of the first steps I took was to clean the connections, but clearly I didn't do a good enough job! I followed the troubleshooting guide step by step which is why I replaced parts. Only after a bunch of head scratching did I go back and remove and clean every possible connection under the hood, including all the grounds. I am not sure which connection is particular was the culprit, but I did learn that corrosion really can be a gremlin!
Wow really, in the same paragraph you say you can't add value without data, and then you attempt to do just that by offering some needless/basic advice and calling it valuable.
