Fast Idle

Anyone have the code for the fast idle on the 2007 5.9?

Yup, it's called your dealers Star Scan tool. The dealer must turn it on, unless you buy a programmer that has that function. Bully Dog has it , and Smarty has it too.

is the fast idle engaged by the cruise like a big truck?does the dealer charge to do it?

yea it is engaged using cruise and accel/decell to go up and down between 1100 and 1500 rpm..some dealers will others wont..mine didnt

mine is enabled via the smarty but i cant use accel/decel. when i hit set it goes to 1100 and stays there. am i doing something wrong?

The cruise set button runs it up to 1100rpm's.

From there I can adjust in 100 RPM increments using the accel/decel button.

As long as it's in park and your foots off the brake it should work fine.

Actually, if you are careful, you can set it to any RPM between 1100 and 1500. Initially, I too thought it was only in 100 rpm increments.

The BDTD newest software also has a PTO function that will take the revs up higher.

if its a standard shift need to ground that pin on the ECM too......

The Triple dog pto function will take care of a 6 speed. No grinding necessary.

You may be right, I think grounding the pin was to get the high idle to work...
