Extended cranking, running on 5 cyl
Extended cranking, running on 5 cyl
Looking for some help, I usually haunt the 2nd gen forums, I did some searching already and found that there is a wire that chafes thru near the AC compressor, no joy there as I did not find any issues with the wiring, I've spent a couple hours searching, and I'd like to have confirmed that a bad injector will cause extended cranking prior to starting. I'm working on my buddys 04, and about 8-9months ago I installed new nozzels (edge 80hp). I believe it has a bad injector as the #6 cyl is cold, you can put your hand on the exhaust port and its cold while the others are hot. engine takes forever to start and miss is more noticable at idle but you can feel it when under load (not as bad as it is at idle).
is there any easy way to confirm it? when they go bad do they return all the fuel back to the tank? If this is the case it would explain the extended cranking time as it has to build up rail pressure.
can anyone give me the cliff notes (overview)on the CR system??
Thanks
