engine reving at stop light
I've got a 2005 R2500 diesel, sometimes when I come to a stop , the engine sounds like you are power braking the engine. APP says 0, but load shows 50+% if you shift into nuetral it will flare up to ? If you hold it during the light then release the brake the truck will take off till you get to 10 mph. Anyone see this before?

My wifes 05 did the same thing last Monday.Turns out converter was bad. The dealer pulled the trans total rebuild I supplied the converter and new front pump. Dealer covered everything else under warrenty. The truck has 90,000 miles on it.

torque converter clutch is gone. needs new converter, pump and possibly a valve body. the TCC acts like a regular clutch when it takes a dump.
