am losing quite a bit of oil looked under truck base pan is covered as well as front axle and surrounding areas quite a mess, any suggestions on to where i shold first check and any common known areas of leak on these im at 160,000 kms now but leaving a 2-3 in blotch when parked over night

Oil pan gaskets always leak, there is a blowby tube but it should be on top of your front diff.

front crankshaft seals known to leak too. If it is the culprit just order the one with the repair sleeve.
