Engine Noise??

On my 05 when I am kinda under about half to 3/4 throttle it has kinda stange engine noise I noticed today, It kinda sounds like lifters clattering on a 350 chevy motor. I don't know if I just hadn't been paying attention before or is it just came up. It seems to get worst to as I start running both chips at the same time. I don't know if it is just the normal sound of the diesel running or not. But I have no problems with the truck no smoke well besides the black stuff no oil leaking and I have plenty of performance. So what do you all think? The only thing I could think of either maybe valves or a noisy injector but I have never heard a noisy injector so I don't know what that is.

The temps outside are below 35 and it is more noticable when the engine is cold. But it does it all the time just not as bad when it is warmed up.

Most likely your rocker arms are a little out of adjustment. Mine started doing the same thing. It was a slightly noisier version of the normal "diesel sound" during light deceleration at 65-70mph.
