Engine noise after installing EZ

After installing the Power Edge EZ, my engine noise has increased in the cab. I assume that it's due to the change in timing. It can get annoying after about 50 miles! Is there any hood lining or other noise shielding available? I seem to remember a thread on this but the search can't seem to find anything.

I don't recall that I do remember some people having fire damage from some kind of blanket or insulator. The easiest cure I know is to grab the volume **** on your stereo and turn it towards the right! ;D
Good luck finding something that may help you.

I have a 01 HO and I am still stock. I can tell a big difference between the HO and the stock 24v. I'm not sure it is because of the higher compression or because this one is a stick and i get more resonance in the cab. ???

Here is what I suggest...straight pipe it, pull the silencer ring and add a BHAF air filter...then buy some ear plugs and let the world enjoy your diesel.

Just be glad you are not in the car next to your exhaust pipe it traffic...people roll up there windows when the sit next to mine. Heck I have been know to rev it up a bit just for fun.. ;D ;D

In all honnesty I don't think you will find anyting that will help with the noise that much. I have seen stories of guys pulling the guts out of there cabs and lining them with lead and dynomat and only loosing about 1 db.
