engine compartment

engine compartment

just wondering if I am able to spray engine degreaser then hose it off or will I screw something up engine looking real dirty want to clean up any suggestions?

I would think you should be ok just don't directly spray any electronic components (tipm,ect)

you should be fine. i take mine to the car wash all the time. just dont spray right on your electronics.

I would wash it as you've suggested and then spray everything heavily with Armorall. After that, just use a high pressure air hose to blow the dust off. Retreat it with Armorall yearly.

Doesn't that attract dust and dirt? I run a lot of fire roads.

Probably would attract dust but it would still blow off better than having nothing on it at all. When I use the term "Armorall", it is generic. Actually, I use comparable products that do not leave a sticky surface thus attracting less dust. Routine degreasing & power washing is, IMHO, not great for the engine compartment. I think the hoses, wires, gaskets & plastic components should have a protectant on them. High pressure air cleaning is much more kindly to the engine compartment IMHO.
