engine clattering & tries to die in idle

Hi,

I'm new @ this, so bear with me. I have an 04 6 speed HO quad cab dually with 49k miles on it. The other day after a 4 hr trip pulling a 4H trailer w/1 horse & driving w/the cruise set at 75 on the interstate, when I pulled up to a stop light it started making a horrible clattering noise & the mil light came on & stayed on. The pickup was in nuetral when it started this as I was setting still. It kept trying to die & did it again when I pulled into the fairgrounds in OKC. I made to the stalls & shut if off & it's never done it again.

I have an auxillary fuel tank, but I had been driving on the same fuel since I had left home the day before & I went home on the same fuel & it has never done it again. It's going to the dealer for service tomorrow but I was wondering if anyone has had the same problem.

Thanks in advance

Check to see if your oil level is over-filled. Could be a bad injector?

Is the light still on. Check for codes by turning your key on and off 3 times with out starting truck to get codes.

The light isn't on anymore. Codes are P2127, P0652,P0341. I bought it new & this is the first trouble I've had with it.

Mine did the same thing few weeks ago (I didn't notice the mil light). I had pulled heavy couple of days before it happened which I dont normally do. My buddy (a gas mechanic) said pulling helps clean the injectors & some carbon may have loosened up & I probably heard it working itself through. I am new to this but it sounded feasible.
