i matched an 8mm bolt with the one from the engine at napa, gently threaded it in to where the original was, everything seems to work, it torqued to 89inch lbs, and it all seems legit. is there ANYTHING i should be concerned about, or did I just solve my problem?

seems pretty quality. I really dont think I need to be TOO concerned seeing as they are just torqued to 7lbs, so there really wanst much force on these things to begin with right?

It should be fine, even if it is just a grade5 bolt. There isn't a whole lot of torque going on that line, or at least shouldn't be!
