the 305's are a 33-12.50/R17. The actual height is something like 32.6 inches. Not sure without doing the conversion, but im going to guess that they are just a hair taller than the 295's. I wouldnt run a 2" spacer in the front unless you have some way of bringing the back end up when the trailer is on to keep you level (ie: airbag system).

So the 305's are wider but actually a little shorter than the 295's. 295's are about 33.4" tall. I wish they made a slightly wider version of the 295's.

I Am Thinking About 235/80x17 Same Height As 285/70x17 But Not As Wide. Any Input Good Or Bad.

A 33-12.50-17 Tire is within a couple MM of a 285-70-R17 tire----Height wise! This is what I went with on my truck! ProComp did not make a 285 tire when I got the AT's, just a 33" tire. I like them because they are wider than a 285 and I play off the coast of NC on the islands and the sand is deep. The wider tire aired down helps out with the plowing that these trucks love to do in the sand!
