Dynatrac vs "EMS Offroad" Free Spin Kits
Well, this EMS is starting to sound like a pretty solid kit. Maybe they have made some small changes since they started out. But, you always get what you pay for IMO. Now, I just need to get the money... HMMM
My friends at SolidAxle are coming out with a conversion as well.

Call them and talk about it. Ive been running SoliddAxle stuff in my Jeep for years and love it. Their customer service is top notch.

That's a nice looking unit. I like how the abs tone ring and sensor is sealed from the elements like they are on the factory hubs. It's like that on EMS too but not Dynatracs. I didn't see any price.

The solid axle kit starts at $1,900 dollars. (at least that was what I was told when I contacted them a couple of months ago) They have a lot of the work done for you like the Dynatrac kit. I like my EMS kit now it is installed, I just think that for a few pennies more, they could offer the bearing races installed and make sure that their stub shafts are to spec before they go out the door.

I double checked prices...
Ford 99-04 $1859
Dodge 00-04 $1859
Dodge 94-99 $1999 (includes long side shaft and disconnect block off)
Ive never had a single issue with SolidAlxe, I run one of their custom made HP60 housings in my Jeep, and their name does say it all.

I just took a look on the Solid site, and these are impressive units... Wish I had known about these kits mack in December when I had to have all my ball jounts and 1 hub assemply replaced.
My other motive is to get 2 wheel low capability. I pull a 7 ton trailer and would love to have that extra low end grunt to get this thing rolling when I am stopped on a hill. Out of all the kits, I lik ethe Solid kit the best...

Here's my Dynatrac setup. I love it, but the hood ornament did not come in the kit.

I drove 1,400 miles from MN to NC and the kit seemed to help reduce drag. I was a little worried before I started the trip on if the hub would keep the bearings in place. I have had old Dana's come loose before and the last thing I needed was the bearings letting loose through the Blue Ridge mountains! No problems, as a matter of fact, I checked the temp of the outer hubs periodically, (with my hand), and it was warm but not hot. My guess is that the bearings are fine.
