FWIW, my overhead has never been too far off. 1mpg or less too high. With the 285s (no speedo recal, still thinks it's running 31" tires (265s)) the speedo is a little slow on the hiway, but the overhead mileage is close now.

I used to get 38 mpg hand calculated on long round trips. Then I installed the bigger tires (34") and with the 3.73 gears I'm now up to 44 mpg. I know, you guys don't think it's possible, but I fold the mirrors in and go pretty easy on the fuel pedal. Roll up hills, and slight fuel down to keep it right at that magic 72 mph.

When I pull a 15,000 pound trailer the mileage will drop to the low 30's. Last check was 31.6734108 mpg.

I was so happy I dropped my bong.....
