Dropping Crank

Since I'm 6000 miles away from the truck, I'm planning the troubleshoot if they decide to deny my warranty for having the edge on there.

Can I drop the pan, and subsequently the crank, rods, and pistons from within the truck without major hastle (all things being relative, of course..)

Then, if I scored a piston, I'm going to want to clean and possibly hone the cylinder(s)... Anyone have experience doing it in the truck?

I'm thinking worst case scenario here-- hopefully it's an injector or simple stuff....

From: North Carolina or Kentucky. Take your pick
You cannot get crank out without pulling engine. Flexplate/flywheel, room, ect. All things being relative and amout of EXTRA hassle.
You might get cyl honed in vehicle and replace rings, rod bearings, appropiate pistons, ect.

AR4CE,
Don't sweat it. I just put the bottom end of my engine back together a couple of days ago. I had to replace # 6 piston which is the hardest one to do. There is plenty of room to pull the piston and rods as well as honing the cylinders.
Good luck,
Topper
