Hi All I;m getting a droneing hummm between 90k and 110k especially noticeable under load on uphill grades i can even feel it in the steering wheel.I have a 2200lb camper on my 3500 4x4 diesel which seems to make the hummm more noticeable.It does drone going downhill with the throttle off though not as much any ideas ?Ujoints ,driveshaft, gears its an auto.I'm not looking forward to taking this to the dealer for diagnoses as these problems are hard to solve but it is getting worse and really irratating.

 

rear drive shaft just went on mine last week with same symptoms at 230k , on mine got worse very quick , I assume because I gross out at 28k to 32k lbs most the time.

 

230 k was how many km on the truck, not how fast I was going. Vibe was about at 85 to 105 km/hr

 

Well i took the truck to the dealer today and the service manager took her for a drive.The droneing appeared again at lockup at 100k or so.He noticed the drone and we made an appointment for thursday to try and fix it.He thinks it may be an exhaust resonance or driveshaft vibration so here we go i hope its an easy fix i"ll keep posting

 

Here is my update.Truck went in on thursday and they replaced driveshafts and everything else from transfercase to rearend gotta put the camper back on and see what happens.
