Driveshaft gease fittings

I am under the impression that my 2006 2500 ram is supposed to have grease fittings on the driveshaft that require a needle type attachment for the grease gun. My problem is I can't find anywhere to insert the grease at the ujoints. I've read in other posts that these points are hard to spot along with pictures of where they're supposed to be but I've inspected every square inch and can't find anywhere to grease. My question is...are there non greasable ujoints on some of these trucks?

I've looked everywhere and the bumps were poked and prodded with no signs that they are greasable fittings. Id still like to know if non greasable fittings were used on some trucks because I'm certain there's on place to lube on the ones on my truck. I'll try to attach a couple pics. there are little plastic nubs sticking out ( like where the pink paint is) but I don't know what they're for.

I could not find the thing the first time I tried. I took it t the dealer and he was kind enough to show me. Mine was hidden from him because there was some form of brown crusty stuff over it and we had to scrap a little to clean it off. The dealer said it must of got there from cr@p from the road.

Like they said, it's hard to find, and it's hard to grease because it tight. Take your time, a good flash light and you'll find it. To make it easy, I marked the area for future greasing.

The grease fitting can be bought from NAPA, AutoZone or and good parts store.

your photo appears to be the joint on the opposite end of the shaft. The one with the grease fitting is called a "Cardan Joint" and has 2 u-joints with a H shaped block between them. It actually lubes a ball type part that maintains tension between the joints. Compare yours to this picture to see the difference.

I don't have anything that looks like the Cardan joint that you showed in your pic Danavilla. Just the simple X shaped joint I've indicated and both ends of the driveshaft are the same thing. I guess all I can do is wait for them to fail and replace both with normal greasable joints.

The pics look like you are looking at the rear shaft. There aren't any grease fittings on the rear shaft, just one on the front shaft. Also, it isn't on a u-joint, it is on the double cardan joint and is there to lubricate the ball and socket in between the two u-joints.

Agreed.
Your pics look like the rear drive shaft. Far too big of tube to be the front. The rears have no place to grease them.

Well that's exactly what I wanted to know. The rear driveshaft has no greasable parts. The only greasable fitting is on one end of the front shaft to the front wheels. Now the hunt is on to find that fitting.
