Do we need to retorque b series head bolts?

after a rebuild or new engine install do we have to retorque our head bolts on 3rd gens? reason being on some engines ive done in the past you dont have to. they just allow you torque/turn method and call it good. i dont have a FSM so i dont know what cummins is calling for on the isb 24 valve.

With all the stuff you have go wrong with your rig you should buy a FSM, I got mine off e-bay cheap.

I do not know of a reason to NOT retorque them. It can't hurt anything.

Head studs need retorqued too!!!!
I was at a local engine builders shop last month and watched him torque a set of heads on a SBC.
He pulled then to 50, then 55, then 60, then 65, then 70. Eact time backing them off completely!!!!!
