Stock head bolt retorque?

Hope to start my newly rebuilt CTD tomorrow

When I torqued the head bolts I used the cummins instructions 44flb / 77flb / 77flb / +90deg (dont hold me to the #'s this is from mem I had the manual in front of me when I torqued it down)

Anyways what is the recomended retorque? I did not see anything in the manual about that.

Engine is stock except for RV275, Helix2 cam and exhaust no plans on bigger boosts / turbo at this time.

I've been told to just pull them to 115 ft. lbs. If any feel soft, replace that one. Always do this with a cold engine.

i think you have torque to yield bolts, they shouldn't be re torqued. if you do, you run the danger of streching the bolt past the limits.
the maximum "free length" is 132.1mm (5.200 in.).
any longer , then the bolt must be replaced
if you read the manual (page 250) you'll see what i'm talking about.... most guys will ignore those instructions

Don't retorque OEM headbolts.... The retorques you see are for studs especially if you have o-rings or fire-rings.
