Ive been getting a p0237 code on my 04.5 for the past several months on and off. Dealer cant find anything wrong, and I have changed the MAP sensor and the sensor in the intake tube itself. I have tried removing my AFE but the code still shows up. Truck sometimes feels like its losing power until I step on it a little and it will get going again. Anything would help, I've spent $$$ on new sensors and for the dealer to tell me that they cant find anything.

 

well, considering everything you just mentioned uses a cable and connectors, I would first buy a couple of cans of contact cleaner and double or triple clean every connector I could find. Especially important is the TPS plug at the throttle cable/TV cable bracket under the plastic cover, then hit the PCM connectors (should be 3 of them at the firewall pass side) and then do the ECM cable down on the engine block. I had Overdrive problems that no-one could find for 3 months!!!! and then I decided to spray clean every connector. I solved the problem with a $4.00 can of contact cleaner and haven't had another one. I also had a MASS AIRFLOW sensor code about 4 months ago (dead of winter) and it too was contact cleaner repaired. Just a thought but it couldnt hurt.

check your wires running along the front of the motor could have chafed thru

 

Ok I finally had the chance to do all of the above and still no luck. The code appears and disappears more often now. I have also had p0069 show up a couple of times. Any other ideas? Starting to get annoyed by this, i commute about 60 miles a day and get frustrated when it throws it self into "safe" mode. Could I be having turbo issues?

 

Hi, I wanted to ask what kind of contact cleaner exactly that you used....think I have connection issues myself and that sounds like a good place to start, cheap and easy.lol Bu8t I don't want to use anything that might damage the plastic in the connecters or harness.

Are you still running the original batteries?

 

Yes, if you were asking me....my truck still has the original batteries.

 

Sometimes when the batteries get old or weak they cause strange problems. I can't say for sure, just offering the information.

If the voltage is dropping too far all sorts of goofy codes will set. Your truck will sound just fine. The batteries could be on the edge. Take em and have em checked with a good carbon load meter. Then youll know.

I looked up the codes. 0237 says; Turbo Boost Sensor, A circuit low.

0069 says MAP Sensor/Barometric Correlation.

Don't think this could be the problem, but thought I'd throw it in. "Windscreen"
