I have been fighting po148 for almost two years. Occasionally it's followed by code po088 or po251. I have talked to todd at t&c diesel many times. I have read every post on this code. It's been to multiple shops. I have check my pressures, I have replaced parts. For awhile it was intermittent- I would lose power every couple of months. This past fall it got worse, it would throw the code and I would lose power everyday for two straight weeks. Then like usually it just stopped! I haven't thrown the code since. Which I know I just jinxed myself. I am thinking its electrical. Reason being if it was mechanical I would have to assume after two years the part would of failed by now

The MP8 is an old school fuel pressure interceptor module which is extremely hard on your fuel injectors, plus it can cause the P0088 (fuel rail pressure too high) code.

Remove the MP8 module...

I was doing some research to and it said that sometimes the ecm wires can get corrosion too

I removed it and it still runs the same also before I put the fass on the truck it would cut out if I got on it hard but never just setting the cruise at 80 mph and it don't do it when I get on it now just when I keep a high way pace
