In one of the pictures, it looks like a rocker in contact w/injector. Are the Common rail Cummins injectors cam triggered?

Actually that was my feeble attempt to get the thing focused on the location of the injector bolts under the rocker arm. No there is no connection to any rocker. The injectors are entirely electrohydraulic... solenoid opens a port and the high pressure lifts the pintle.

I would just like to personally thank you Hoot for the cutaway pics . I used your pictures for removing silencer ring and baffles and greatly appreciate the time you and other guys on this site take to help others out on questions and such . Many thanks to all and this great site and all who work so hard to keep it up and going .
