The transport co I used to work for bought a fleet of 20 Chevy 4500's in 2003. At about the same mileage, literaly within 500 miles of each other, they all had injector problems. Flooding the cylinders while idling then smoking like a train when taking off was the most common. My '06 2500 has been a sweet heart for 62k miles. Only prob was I had one get gummed up due to short trips but a few tanks of Howe's took care of that.

I don't know what a Cummings is? Do they have problems?

Mine's a Cummins. In 200,000 miles and 7 years I have had zero injection problems. Stock fuel filter and Smarty on mine.

I knew I`d start a hot debate when I wrote that, but I was bored & wanted to see who said what. I still think that the injectors should last longer. I`m sure a better fuel filter would help. As far as misspelling, I do good to spell my name right sometimes.
