Cruise control reflash #???

I just had my truck reflashed for the shifting problem (which didn't work) and now I have the cruise control surging problem! What is the number of the TSB on this? I've got to take the truck back for a couple of other things within the next week and I want to get this fixed. It keeps a steady speed, it's just not steady...

The cruise control issue was safety recall C02, not a TSB and applied to handshakers.

Hmmm. It doesn't look like that even applies to my truck since I have an auto trans... I tried it this morning at 55 mph and it worked fine. The other day I was using it at 45 mph and maybe that is just too slow for it to work smoothly. I'll try it again soon.

Thanks for the info BB..

I myself have never received this recall notice. I have a "G" in the 11th position, assembled in Mexico. Have'nt a clue on how to find the build date. I've used my cruise for a couple hundred miles once, did'nt have a problem though. Saw that warning in consumers reports article, In haste at that, kinda forgot about it. Thanks for the reminder. Will have to check into before I forget again.

My cruise always worked fine too - but I wasn't going to argue with a safety recall. Maybe your truck was "done" before you took it home and thats why you never received the notice. I'd still check on it though.

Check under the hood for the stickers that will say what recall, the technician's name and the date performed. Mine were put on the air cleaner box lid and the fuse box lid.
