cruise control

cruise control

The cruise control stopped working yesterday was set @ 65 hit a small incline it went off and never came on again for me didn't see a fuse anywhere can someone help is my 04.5 all electronic or is there some kind of pick up ???

I received my manual today and will fix it asap and let you know what fixed it .......for a $

It's all electronic.Controlled by Cummins in the ecm I would guess either a cruise switch or VSS.That being said thats just from researching the prints.

yes it will work about 2 sec, after the motor is shut off

apparently the 04.5 has a vacuum canister under the pass,side battery I haven't had the chance really to get into it yet

this weekend if I get my work done (powder coating dead line for a client) I'll tear into it and next week I'll be using a mic stand for cruise lol

I have a 4.5 and have the same issue, but have not looked at it to find a correct fix. There is a vacuum pump behind the pass battery and a cruise control pod under the drivers side battery. I am leaning toward the cruise control pod myself. Good luck and post if you get it fixed.
