The CP3 is the injection pump.

CP3's are for the common rail Dodge '03-'07. You've got a CP3.

It's a decent pump for small mods. When you get in the high hp areas it needs an upgrade. You can modify it yourself or get one modified already starting around $1100 to $1400 I think.

I forgot, you can get dual CP3's too. Those are capable of alot of hp. By the way, questions are meant to be asked. Don't hold back. Asking questions here helped me learn alot.

Get a rail gauge, much cheaper than a CP3. Once you have enough mods to drain your rail you can start looking for a CP3 upgrade. If your rail drops below 20K at WOT you start to loose performance.

how would you modify it yourself?

I really dont plan on doing much more than a Power Puck and maybe a air filter kit.......dont really want to make 500hp, I am satisfied with a moderate gain over stock. Or at least I am until I can get something else to drive everyday to work

If that's all your doing you won't need to do this at all, but here it is FYI.

A stage 1 pump start cheaper than that and supports pretty good power.

I wasn't real sure on what they cost. I was just basing it off of what a stage 2 costs.
