I would not run the cheap factory water looking gear oil longer then 7500 miles less if you tow heavy , JMHO. I would then use a very high quality GL-5 synthetic gear oil and not worry about changing it again for up to 100K. Believe it or not you can buy gear oil that is good for 100K for normal use and 50K for sever use.
