cost of TSB

I was seeing if anyone is being charged by the dealer to have these TSB's done to our trucks. Mine said he would because of the use of the scan tool. I dont think that is right, shouldn't it be covered by warranty?

If you call the dealer and tell him you want to have the TSB done then they will charge you. If you tell them you are having the symptoms the TSB is designed to fix and you are under warranty then they should do it at NC.

If I was in Phoenix I'd hook you up Devious, but I don't think a four hour drive is worth getting your cold idle enabled. Being you have an 04.5 a flash may not even be required. You would just have to enable it with the DRB. Even if the flash is required it's still no big deal and it actually pays pretty decent for warranty. Go to a different dealer and state: " I was in Flagstaff and it took forever for my truck to warm up. I hear their may be a bullitin for that.". If they still have a confused look on their faces you can always mention the tsb number.

I mentioned the TSB to my dealer, and having mine done today for free. He said it was covered under warranty.

No chare for mine.
I believe, if you read the high idle TSB, it says they get .8 hour factory warranty credit.

I had mine done at Bill Luke yesterday. No charge. Complained about a couple of other things they checked out. No charge.

No charge for mine. I complained about low mileage and incorrect overhead mpg. Then I showed them the TSB printout. They did it under warranty.

So, any of you guys who have had it done, did it help? Did it screw anything else up?

My truck runs smoother, shifts easier, and it seem like it has more low end power. It is even more fun to drive it now!

TSB's are warranty issues and should never have to pay for that. I had a 94 Ram and had TSB's completed on it all the way to 2004 and have never had to pay and that had 130,000 miles on it, So dont play there crap.

TSB's are to fix problems that have gotten out of the Assembly Plants and the Auto Company's are responsible! Thats why they have them in the first place
